We will be speaking tomorrow at the “Make BP Pay” protest at San Francisco’s City Hall. The protest starts at 11am. Here’s the press release from the Make BP Pay group:
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MAKE BP PAY PROTEST
JULY 29th, 2010 11am
City Hall, San Francisco, CA
more info: Fred Jardin – FJardin@aol.com (415) 420-5566Our leader’s have given the oil companies legal protection and very low liability limits for situations such as this. It will take people standing up to the government and demanding a full and thorough clean-up, retribution to damaged parties and THEN 10% of profits for the next 10 years to go directly toward development of alternative energy.
We can bypass the years in court if the public demands action. BP as a business knows it can only survive with the public’s blessing. No customers means no company.
Now is the time when we say the protection of our environment is superior to all of the man-made laws and loopholes.
All who wish to stand up to BP please assemble July 29th at 11am, City Hall in San Francisco
CLEAN IT UP, MAKE IT RIGHT and HELP US CREATE A BETTER FUTURE
Make BP Pay is right. They’re making us pay every day in the form of environmental damage; let’s make sure that environmental justice is served.
